Le Petit Beefbar Edinburgh: A Review
Le Petit Beefbar Edinburgh is a new restaurant that has recently opened its doors in the historic InterContinental Edinburgh The George. The restaurant is the first Scottish residence of Le Petit Beefbar, a popular chain of steakhouses that originated in Monaco.
The restaurant is located in the hotel’s grand dining room, which has been beautifully renovated to create a stylish and inviting space. The menu features a variety of beef dishes, as well as other options for those who don’t eat meat.
Our server, Alistair, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He educated us on the different types of beef that were available, and he helped us choose the perfect steaks for our meal. He also made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal and he had amazing banter.
We started our meal with the Croque Sando, a sandwich filled with beef ribeye prosciutto and served with Beefbar’s signature sauce. The sandwich was delicious, and the beef was cooked to perfection. We also had the bao buns, which were filled with pulled beef and served with a sweet and sour sauce. The bao buns were also very good, and the pulled beef was very tender.
For our main course, we had the Kobe beef, which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The beef was incredibly tender, melt in your mouth delicious, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. We also had the wagyu sirloin, which was also cooked to perfection and was very flavourful. The tagliata was also very good, and the meat was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, this was the most affordable steak coming in at under 30 pound. It came with mash and salad included. I’m surprised to tell you this, but i thought this was nicer than the wagyu. So, if you are on a budget i would recommend the tagliata, it didnt taste like the cheapest cut on the menu
The restaurant has a specially designed grill that is used to cook the steaks. The steaks are first cooked in a flash oven, then rested for 10 minutes, and then cooked in a 300-degree oven. This process ensures that the steaks are cooked evenly and to the desired temperature.
We ended our meal with the lightest cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. The cheesecake was very light and fluffy, and we managed it even though we were stuffed.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Le Petit Beefbar Edinburgh. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was stylish and inviting.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak in Edinburgh. In addition to the delicious food, we were also impressed by the service at Le Petit Beefbar Edinburgh.
